  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the sliced chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and reduce heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, along with the cooked fettuccine. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
  7. If desired, stir in nutmeg for added flavor. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
