- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the sliced chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
- Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and reduce heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, along with the cooked fettuccine. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
- If desired, stir in nutmeg for added flavor. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- You can add steamed broccoli or spinach for added nutrition.
