  • 1 cup (120g) cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup (120g) mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
  2. Dip each piece of chicken in the buttermilk, then coat with the cornstarch mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha. Mix well until smooth.
  5. Toss the fried chicken pieces in the sauce until well coated.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
