Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, thyme, and oregano. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and pour the lemon juice over the top. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, spooning the garlic butter over the chicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and herbs for a few hours before cooking.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for a juicier option.
