Crispy air fryer falafel made with chickpeas and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Blend until the mixture is coarse but holds together.
  4. Form small balls or patties from the mixture.
  5. Brush or spray the falafel with olive oil.
  6. Place the falafel in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.

Notes

  • Serve with tahini sauce or yogurt.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
